Please, please, please remember The Doc in your thoughts and prayers today. He is undergoing an intense 9-hour surgery today, one that will change his life forever and ultimately change the way he interacts with students and uses his gift for teaching.
At the healing service on Friday, The Doc said something along the lines of, "Change is inevitable. I will be returning to you in four months greatly altered and changed physically, but what will not have changed is my spirit and presence on this campus."
I know. He's so brave. And people, you cannot imagine the sadness.
He's the smartest person I know, and the most brilliant caring teacher.
Please remember my friend today. Remember him in your good thoughts, in your prayers, in your energy, in your hearts. I'm begging you. He needs it.
