$$$$Dynamic Apathy!$$$$
I've been mentally freaking out about getting an new loan and figuring out money and all that jazz for grad school. Freaking out a lot because I am REALLY DUMB about everything to do with money and loans and numbers and interest rates and all that crap that I don't understand. But I need to register for classes by next Wednesday so I needed to take the bull by the horns and suck it up, even if it meant looking like an idiot in front of people who were willing to let me into their academic institution to get a MASTER'S DEGREE.

So I called the financial aid office today. Guess what I found out? They already have money for me and I need to do nothing! Well, sort of. See, when I filled out my FAFSA form, I checked the box saying that I was interested in Stratford Loans, and after they calculated my aid they automatically sent stuff to Rosemont. My new loan is automatically added to my old loan! I do nothing! After I register for classes Rosemont will guarantee the loan and the money comes to them. TA-DA! Dynamic apathy wins! Actually, the only thing I need to do is go onto the AES website and go through the Entrance counseling thing. And THEN I am done. At least that's how Robin in the Financial Aid office explained it to to me and I'm going to believe her since that was way easier than I had ever hoped.

So now I am waiting for academic clearance from my adviser, who I emailed this morning, and then I can register. I'll be taking two classes each fall and spring semester and one class in the summer session. Here are my top choices for this semester:

GEP 7135 Writing for the Web (heh.)
GEP 7211 Books from Writer to Reader
GEP 7315 Visual Literacy: The Language of Image

I'm hoping at least two of those are not filled up yet. VERY EXCITED now, to begin all the learning.

Stafford...Stafford Loans.

Stratford Loans are something wittily having to do with Shakespeare. Chortle, chortle, chortle!

Actually, it was pretty easy with financial aid. Just know how much you are borrowing. St. Joe's messed up mine (minimally) and had me borrowing $3000 more than I needed. A phone call later, and it was all straightened out. But still, just know how much you need to borrow and how much they are giving you.

Hee! See, I told you that I was retarded about money and financial aid.

Stratford Loans..."Why, nothing comes amiss,
so money comes withal."
