John Inman has died. What a sad thing to discover upon opening my Yahoo! account this morning.
A lot of fans of Britcoms get sort of bored with Are You Being Served? claiming that the entire series revolves around the same six jokes, which, it does, but that's precisely why it's so brilliant. They managed to make those running jokes unexpected and funny every single time. And probably the best at it was John, as Mr. Humphries.
So sad, you guys! And just a month or so shy of my Bloody Brilliant!: A Day of Britcoms party.
