"We lost our voice."
Since before I was born, Harry Kalas has been the announcer for the Phillies.

When I saw my first Phillies game, sitting on my grandfather's knee, Harry Kalas was the announcer.

After a life-long obsession with the Phillies, my grandfather passed away. The day after he passed, the Phillies won a home game and when Harry Kalas announced the final score, my mom and I cried, knowing full well my grandfather had given them luck from the afterlife. "Outta here!"

When the Phillies won the World Series last season, Harry Kalas was the one who voiced our excitement and enthusiasm after 28 years of High Hopes.

The Phillies will never the same for me again.

So long, Harry. I'm so glad that you went with the team. Way to give it your all.
