Laying Low
I had fun anecdotes to tell you --- stories about snotty actors that couldn't act who had no idea I was working lights and sound, even after I worked day long tech rehearsals with them and they saw me rehanging lights right in front of them. Stories about how I ate the WHOLE thing at the Timothy School benefit and then spent the next half hour laughing in a parking lot at Mare because she's the funniest. Stories about my friend-iversary with the triplets, which is today.

But I can't tell them now. I'm hiding out. Rumors are going around that someone is about to get dooced. And I don't want it to be me, if you know what I mean.

Tales to come, that's a promise. Maybe on Sunday, after a weekend of stereotypical behavior and partying I'll share.

TV 'personalities' and actors never cease to amaze me in their complete and utter ignorance/disregard for the people who put their arses on the air or make sure that they can actually be seen on stage...
Anyway, no prima donnas bothering me tonite, just sportsmen and women on the nightshift recording the Commonwealth games. Such is the life in the exciting world of TV!
Nice blog by the way. Some interesting stuff goin on with u...

The majority of the actors I know are decent and hardworking. It's just the 1 snotty ego inflated guy that ruins it for the others. Quite sad.

And confidential to the dude whose comment I deleted: Was that spam? It looked an awful lot like spam. Quit spamming my comments, assmonkey. If I start getting spammers here I'll have to start moderating my comments, which I really really don't want to do because Blogger already makes normal people jump through hoops just to comment as is.

You guys, I never had this problem with Haloscan. I might have to figure out how to use Haloscan here.

Ok.....maybe I'm just jealous that I'm not one!! Actually, nah, I prefer being creative behind the scenes anyday! Still, I probably was being harsh. I'd say about 70% of the performers I've had the pleasure of working with were charming and surprisingly down to earth. I've had very few encounters with celebs from your side of the Atlantic though...we once had people from Buffy and Angel on our kids programme, and they were pretty cool. It would be interesting to see how things are done in TV in the U.S. and how it differs from things here in the U.K?

Ah-ha! So you're my visitor from the U.K.! I was wondering when looking at my stats.

As for television, I wouldn't know, seeing as I work in publishing and just do theater for fun. I too have only met a handful of snotty actors. The majority are really nice, decent, and hardworking. Plus they totally know that we're having all the fun backstage.

Yeah. It's me.
