Ack! On deck for me this weekend:
I need to finish the guide today because if I don’t I will want to EAT my FACE come Monday morning when my editor returns from vacation even though the lateness of the guide is not my fault and the fault of stupid vendors deciding at the last minute to discontinue models and reissue new ones in their place. At lunch I need to run to Trader Joe’s to pick up food for tonight. Tonight I am heading to Midsummer ceremony/celebration, which hopefully the rain will hold off and we’ll be able to have it outside again complete with sparklers, bubbles, and pagan dancing. Tree will be there (yay!) along with Al (double yay!) and word is Dave and Laren are coming as well, and even though I haven’t heard anything I imagine Nina will be there too (triple, quadruple, quintuple yay!).
Tomorrow I am getting up at ass crack of dawn and I am cleaning like a woman possessed. At noon I am headed to Kimberton and meeting up with the enough relatives and retired nuns to make me krazy and have lunch with them all. After lunch I am bringing my mother and her twin sister back home to see the apartment (hence the cleaning) and some shopping in cute local shops. Then we’re going back to Kimberton, and going to mass and having dinner. One or more of those things I might be skipping out on. At some point in the afternoon, both a QK and a Lisa Nicole are coming into town and somehow I need to figure out how to meet up with one or both of them. After all the family craziness and the wedding that Lisa is attending we are all partying like mo-fos for the rest of the evening.
Sunday –-- who knows? Talk of going into the city has been had, another viewing of Tadhg Stray, a Peace Mission banquet, a picnic and kickball in the park, awesome thrifting for a good cause have all been discussed as possibilities.
These are all the things I will be doing. But what I really want to do is grab all my girlies -- QK, Lisa, Tree, Laren, The RedHead, Tamika, Miss J, Renee, Nirm, all of y'alls -- and settle in with pizza, chocolate, and copius amounts of wine and have a weekend of Pride and Prejudice. Colin Firth as Mr. Darcy? Yes please.
